“My father’s joy in seeing art displayed in such a glorious space bearing his name would have been a wonderful thing to behold.” – Victoria Price, daughter of Vincent Price

The mission of the Vincent Price Art Museum at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) is to serve as a unique educational resource for the diverse audiences of the college and the community through the exhibition, interpretation, collection, and preservation of works in all media of the visual arts. VPAM seeks to promote knowledge, inspire creative thinking, and deepen an understanding of and appreciation for the visual arts.

Founded in 1957 as the first art gallery in East Los Angeles, VPAM is located on the ELAC campus in Monterey Park—four miles east of Downtown Los Angeles. The Museum is the cornerstone of ELAC’s new Performing and Fine Arts Center on campus, and it holds the largest permanent collection of any community college in the United States.
